With mixed emotions, I announce news regarding my dental career and practice. After much contemplation, I have made the difficult decision to retire from my dental practice. I have been honored to serve you and your families throughout my career. I am profoundly grateful for your trust, loyalty, and the opportunity to be a part of your lives.

Over time, I have experienced more and more discomfort in my wrists and back. Recently, I was diagnosed with severe facet joint arthritis in my lower spine, making it clear that it is time for me to focus on my well-being and personal health. This decision was not made lightly, but I must ensure I can continue living a healthy and happy life.

As I step back from the clinical aspects of dentistry, I want you to understand that my care for you remains my top priority. To ensure you can continue living with a healthy and happy smile, I have decided to merge my office with Trinity Dental Excellence. I am fully confident in the skilled and compassionate team that will continue caring for you. I have researched who to partner with extensively, and I have chosen Dr. Leydi Barros and Dr. Sean Gassett, along with their team at Trinity Dental Excellence. They are only located 2.5 miles down Darlington Rd on the corner of Seven Springs Blvd and Perrine Ranch Rd. I am also excited to announce that Andrea, who works my front desk, will join their team to continue your care.

Dr. Sean Gassett

  • Born in Daytona Beach and raised in Gainesville, Florida.
  • Dr. Gassett earned his BS, MBA, and DMD from the University of Florida.
  • He provides preventative, cosmetic, restorative, and surgical procedures but is not limited to Orthodontics, Invisalign, TMJ (jaw pain) Therapy, Cosmetics, Sleep Apnea Treatment and Dental Implants.

Dr. Leydi Barros 

  • Graduated from New York University – College of Dentistry, top of her class
  • She provides preventative, cosmetic, restorative, and surgical procedures including, but not limited to, fillings, crowns, implant crowns, overdentures (dentures supported by implants), veneers, and bridges, and is a Certified Invisalign Provider. 
  • Professional Affiliations:
    American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Pasco Dental Association, and Hispanic Dental Association.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
